My name is Andy Johns, a life-long Wiregrass resident. My early years were spent near the Skipperville area of Dale County, then I moved to the Dothan area with my family where I graduated from Northview High School in 1980. I then attended East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi on scholarship where I played football for two years prior to transferring to Troy University where I graduated with a Business Administration Degree in 1985.

I’m married to Carol Williams Johns. Carol and I have three children and four grandchildren.

My work career after college involved managing a pool supply distributorship and being a supervisor for a freight company prior to a 30 year career in the insurance industry working for the largest property and casualty insurance company in the US.

Personally, I enjoy the outdoors where I have spent much of my life and enjoy working on home projects including remodeling which gives me knowledge of construction which is beneficial when helping customers find the right property.

Prior to my retirement from the insurance industry, I had no doubt what I wanted to do in retirement. I wanted to keep working and I wanted to work in Real Estate. I’m a people person and love working with people and Real Estate allows me to continue to be people and service oriented.
